We’ve been in the shoe care game long enough to know what works and what doesn’t. The Shoe Clinic started with one goal: take better care of footwear by respecting what it’s made of. For years, we’ve studied materials, tested formulas, and listened to real-world wearers. This isn’t a trend for us. It’s our craft. Formulated for what today’s shoes are made of.

Insoles

Whilst the may provide increased comfort for 6 months to one year, we recommend swapping out your insoles for new ones every 2-3 months to ensure optimum results and comfort.

Leather

Regular maintainence will keep your leather footwear looking it's best for years. You can use these wipes every time your shoes are looking a little soiled with dirt or stains, to refresh the leather while you're on the go.

Our Leather Finish comes in a choice of 3 coatings; Matt, for when you don't want any reflection on your leather, Satin, for when you want a subtle or semi-sheen and Gloss for when you want a shiny finish which increases the vibrancy of your shoe colour.

You may need to apply a few coats of paint depending on the desired result and the type of applicator or brush you are using. Allow paint to fully dry between coats.

The bottle contains a thick cream liquid, we recommend shaking the bottle thoroughly before use to ensure an even colour.

Yes, if you would prefer not to wear the shoes while wet, you could use a mechanical (wooden, metal or plastic) shoe stretcher to hold them in shape and stretch them out while the product dries.

Once the manufacturers finish has been removed, you will start to see colour transferring onto your cloth. This generally means you have removed enough of the finish to proceed to the next stage.

If the leather is cracked, you should continue using the Deglazer to remove more of the colour, as there is a high chance this will also remove the cracks.

No, this product is designed for removing the toughest of coatings, therefore would remove colour form your leather if used as a cleaner. The Leather Deglazer should only be used as part of the preparation stage when re-colouring leather shoes.

To clean your leather, we recommend our Leather Cleaner.

 

It depends on the materials of your shoes. If it feels as though they have become tight again, you can repeat the process.

Yes, our Leather Finish is perfect for locking in colour and providing a durable topcoat to your customised sneaker designs.

Yes. We always recommend giving your leather shoes a good clean to remove any dirt, stains or oils before painting. For a professional finish, you should also use our Leather Deglazer to prepare the leather.

Yes. Our leather paints are designed to be mixed with one another to create a wide spectrum of colour possibilities, so let your creativity run wild!

It is not necessary to use a finish, however if you want a more robust topcoat on leather shoes you could apply our Leather Finish which comes in a choice of matt, satin or gloss.

It will temporarily soften the leather while wet, to stretch the shoes you MUST wear them whilst the leather is drying.

The Deglazer has a strong solvent smell, and we recommend using it in a ventilated area.

Yes, our handy 125ml bottles are perfect for carrying around with you in case you need to clean your footwear or bag on the go.

Suede

Regular maintenance will keep your suede footwear looking its best for years. We recommend wet cleaning with our Suede Cleaner at least once per month, but whenever the suede looks dirty or tired, give it a dry brush with our 4-in-1 Multi Cleaning Brush to remove dirt and raise the nap.

You should protect your suede footwear as soon as you can to guard it from rain and stains. How often you need to reapply will depend on the individual and how frequently you wear the shoes, but as a general rule, as soon as you begin to notice that the water is no longer beading on the suede, it is time to give it another of Protector.

The 4-in-1 brush tool should be used on dry suede only. The metal and nylon bristles remove dust and dirt from the material. The contoured tip reaches into grooves. The rubber bristles gently raise the nap and revive the texture of your suede shoes.

No, we don't recommend using this product to dye suede as it will change the texture.
